Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-05-17 Last updated: 2026-05-17
This Privacy Policy explains how DealrBuddy LLC ("DealrBuddy," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit https://dealrbuddy.com (the "Site") or submit our contact form.
DealrBuddy is a business-to-business (B2B) product for automotive dealerships. The Site is a marketing site. If you become a DealrBuddy customer, a separate customer agreement and, where applicable, a Data Processing Addendum will govern how we handle data inside the DealrBuddy product itself.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
When you submit the contact / "request a demo" form on the Site, we collect:
| Field | Required? |
|---|---|
| Name | Yes |
| Work email address | Yes |
| Dealership name | Yes |
| Your role / title | Optional |
| Phone number | Optional |
| Message / what you're looking for | Optional |
If you email us directly, we receive whatever you choose to include in that email.
Information collected automatically
When you submit the form, we also record technical metadata to help us prevent abuse and understand where leads come from:
- Browser user-agent string
- The page or campaign source associated with your submission
- Date and time of submission
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site (approximate location, device, pages viewed).
We also use advertising and retargeting technologies — including the Google Ads remarketing tag and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel — that set cookies and similar identifiers so we can show DealrBuddy ads to people who have visited the Site. This involves disclosing online identifiers and browsing activity to Google and Meta to build advertising audiences, which qualifies as "sharing" (and, depending on legal interpretation, may qualify as a "sale") of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain US state privacy laws.
You can opt out of this advertising at any time:
- Use the "Your Privacy Choices" / "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our Site footer.
- We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out for the browser that sends them.
- Email us at matt@dealrbuddy.com.
- Opt out at the vendor level — Google (https://adssettings.google.com and the GA opt-out add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), Meta (https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads), and industry tools at https://optout.aboutads.info — or via your browser settings.
See Google's privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy and Meta's at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Note: DealrBuddy's product feature that reads a dealership's own Google Analytics 4 property is a separate, customer-side integration and is not covered by this Site Privacy Policy. It is governed by the DealrBuddy customer agreement.
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers, or any consumer (car-buyer) personal information through this Site.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Respond to your inquiry and contact you about a demo or about DealrBuddy
- Communicate with you about the product, including follow-up
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site
- Detect and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We share online identifiers and Site-activity information with our advertising partners (Google and Meta) for cross-context behavioral advertising (retargeting), as described in the Cookies and Advertising section above. Under some US state privacy laws this may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out at any time — see "Your Privacy Choices" in Section 7 and in our Site footer. We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not knowingly engage in this advertising for anyone under 16.
If we ever want to use your information for a materially different purpose, we will update this Policy and, where required, obtain your consent.
3. Where This Policy Applies
This Site is directed to automotive businesses in the United States. If you are accessing the Site from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
4. Who We Share Information With
We share information with the service providers and advertising partners below, each bound by contract. Some of this sharing — with our advertising partners for retargeting — may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under US state privacy law; see "Your Privacy Choices" in Section 7 to opt out.

We may also disclose information (a) to comply with law, legal process, or enforceable governmental requests; (b) to enforce our Terms or protect our rights, safety, or property; or (c) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.
5. Data Retention
We keep contact-form submissions for as long as there is a potential or ongoing business relationship with you or the dealership you represent, and afterward only as long as necessary for legitimate business or legal purposes. We do not delete lead records on a fixed schedule; instead we periodically review them and remove or anonymize records that are no longer relevant. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Section 7).
6. How We Protect Information
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls on the systems that store submissions, and least-privilege access for our service providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for targeted / cross-context behavioral advertising (see "Your Privacy Choices" below)
- Non-discrimination for exercising these rights
- Portability and, in the EEA/UK, the right to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent
To exercise any of these rights, email matt@dealrbuddy.com with the nature of your request. We will verify your request (typically by confirming control of the email address you submitted) and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits.
Your Privacy Choices. To opt out of the "sale"/"sharing" of your personal information for advertising, you can: (a) use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our Site footer; (b) enable Global Privacy Control in your browser — we treat it as a valid opt-out automatically; or (c) email matt@dealrbuddy.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
EEA/UK residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
8. California Notice
Categories of personal information we collect: identifiers (name, email, phone), professional information (dealership name, role), and internet/device activity (user-agent, source, cookie identifiers, browsing activity). We collect it directly from you and automatically via cookies and pixels, and use it for the purposes in Section 2. We disclose identifiers and internet/device activity to the analytics and advertising partners listed in Section 4.
In the preceding 12 months we share (and, depending on legal interpretation, may "sell") identifiers and internet/device activity with our advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may opt out via the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our Site footer, Global Privacy Control, or by emailing matt@dealrbuddy.com. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger a right to limit. California residents also have the rights to know, delete, correct, and not be discriminated against, exercisable as described in Section 7.
9. International Transfers
We are based in the United States, and the information we collect is processed in the United States. Some of our service providers may process limited technical data (such as IP address and request metadata) on infrastructure located in other countries where they operate. We direct this Site to U.S. automotive businesses and do not target users in the EEA or UK.
10. Children
The Site is intended for automotive-industry professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18. Consistent with applicable law, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised Policy.
